The cooling system removes surplus heat and holds the engine within a controlled temperature band, protecting it from the rapid damage that overheating causes. This group covers radiators and cores, water pumps, thermostats and housings, oil coolers, fans and fan drives, hoses and clamps, and coolant temperature sensors. Doosan engines are predominantly fitted to excavators and wheel loaders working in dusty and debris-heavy conditions, which makes radiator core blockage a far more frequent cause of overheating than any internal fault. On DX-series machines the cooling pack is often stacked with hydraulic and charge air coolers, so a blocked core affects hydraulic temperature as well as coolant.
AMS Parts supplies a wide range of cooling system components for Doosan engines used in power generation, marine, and industrial applications. Browse the full range below, or contact us for specific requirements.
A blocked or fouled radiator core is the most common cause on machine-mounted engines. The cooling pack should be cleaned from the fan side outward at regular intervals.
On stacked cooling packs the hydraulic oil cooler and charge air cooler share the same airflow, so a blocked core raises hydraulic temperature and intake temperature as well.
Follow the interval for the coolant type specified. Degraded coolant loses corrosion protection well before it appears unfit for use.
