Doosan engines in excavator and loader service work in high-dust environments, which makes air filtration the single most important protection for the engine: any leak in the ducting downstream of the filter admits abrasive dust straight to the liners and rings. Two-stage filtration with a pre-cleaner is common on these machines and both stages need attention at service.
